As time draws near to the proposed date for the refloating of the Costa Concordia, there is more fear and trepidation being expressed by locals on the Island of Giglio.  The smallest mistake in refloating the crippled Costa Concordia cruise ship will sink it, creating an environmental disaster.  An announcement is expected to be made to the public imminently, telling of the date and proposed plans.  Local islanders discuss concern for the risks involved and speculation or the uncertainty of this massive project.

At this same time, the trial of Captain Schettino will begin on September 23rd 2013.
